"Dencappo? Never heard of him..."

Among other things, 'Dencappo' is a practically unknown and fairly misanthropic 'artist' born in the southwest of England in 1984. He has never received any formal training and considers himself to be entirely self-taught when it comes to painting. He uses this obvious pseudonym to maintain some small amount of anonymity amongst those who do not know him personally, and he signs his paintings with the initials 'MJD'.

He had a wonderful childhood, raised in a very responsible, supportive and loving family. In fact, his family is probably the most important thing to him. Aside from his very fortunate upbringing, he hated school and became bored with the whole thing. After several unhappy years, he left and looked for employment.

Since leaving school he has grown and learned a lot, got engaged, landed a very nice career, and achieved many other successes including a brief stint involved in UK politics, albeit at a relatively low level, before jacking that in and chalking it up as a total waste of time were it not for the extra string added to his bow. He also owned his own business for a time before leaving that behind to concentrate on his career.

He has many interests, some of which include 80's films, obscure books, Cuban cigars, varying types music, guitar, herpetology, fine wine, console gaming, reading, writing, technology, anthropology, psychology and perhaps most importantly, learning (by whatever means available). He also holds the title of Warlock in the infamous, though misunderstood Church of Satan. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it's something.

He has always dabbled with his creative side, but has finally given in to the need to 'let-rip', so to speak. This website is the result of that urge and is very much an ongoing project.
